Organic horticulturist and IPM Advocate Steven Zien from Living Resources Company will be staffing the Our Water Our World educational booth at Green Acres Nursery and Supply new Rocklin store (5432 Crossings Dr., Rocklin, CA) as part of their Dig Into Spring Ideas Fair. Bring your garden questions and problems (keep samples in a sealed container) and have them identified and learn about environmentally friendly, leas-toxic products and techniques to solve your problems that you can take home with you. Lean about products you can purchase that will feed the soil food web for healthy, drought, and pest resistant plants. Steve will also have some free giveaways! Organic horticulturist Steven Zien from Living Resources Company will be a making two presentations as part of the Garden in Every School Symposium 2016. The event is for teachers, parents, school garden coordinators, and others involved with helping children connect between food, health, and the environment. Gardeners are also welcome. Steven will be making presentations on "Gardening Green From Soil to Managing Pests" and "Soil: Not Just A Dirty Word" on Saturday afternoon. This two day event will take place at Luther Burbank High School, 3500 Florin Road in Sacramento. Registration is only available for the entire two day event.

January 19, 2016 Steven Zien will be giving his "Soil Not Just a Dirty Word - Exploring the Mysteries of Managing Soil Biology" presentation.

This will take place at the Roseville Better Gardens Club meeting at the Maidu Community Center, 1550 Maidu Drive, Roseville, CA at 1pm.

Learn how to conserve water and still have a healthy, productive, drought and pest resistant, garden and landscape. Topics covered will include River-Friendly garden principles, soil health, landscape design, installing and maintaining edibles, compost/mulch, right plant-right place, Integrated Pest Management, lawn care, appropriate fertilization, proper pruning techniques, water wise irrigation and much more.
Sacramento's Organic Advocate Steven Zien with Living Resources Company, Our Water Our World and Ecolandscape California will be the instructor for three of these classes including Soil Health, Integrated Pest Management, and the Fertilizer/Lawn Care presentations.
