Organic horticulturist Steven Zien from Living Resources Company will making his nationally renowned presentation, “Soil: Not Just A Dirty Word, Exploring the Mysteries of Managing Soil Biology” to the Sun City Lincoln Hills Garden Group at 1167 Sun City Blvd Roseville in Kilaga Springs Lodge. The filthy subject matter will range from informative to humorous and of course a little romance will be included. Steve will even have an audience participation sign along, and those are always fun! Organic horticulturist Steven Zien from  Living Resources Company   will be a guest on Farmer Fred'sgarden radio talk shows from 8:00 am to 10 am on 1530 KFBK and from 10 am to noon on 650 KSTE discussing Organic Horticulture in the fall garden. We had so much fun last Sunday Fred invited me back. Listen and call in to get your questions answered and possibly win a valuable prize. February 11th, 2016: from 7:30 am to 5 pm:
Organic horticulturist Steven Zien from Living Resources Company will be a making two presentations at the west coasts preeminent ecological horticultural event, EcoLandscape California’s 2017 Conference & Trade Show Information and Inspiration for Landscape Professionals. The event will be held at the Robert J. Cabral Agricultural Center, 2101 E. Earhart Ave., Stockton California. Steve’s first presentation, Develop A Passion For Soil To Sow The Seeds Of Urban Ecological Regeneration will cover how proper management of the soil food web will generate urban ecological restoration. His second presentation, Proactive, Water-Friendly (PWF) Integrated Pest Management (IPM): The Why, Not The What will discuss pest management techniques that prevent pest damage and when necessary some organic/less-toxic options if pests become a problem. This is an event horticultural professionals will not want to miss with workshops covering cutting edge tools and techniques on the subjects of gray water, sustainable hardscapes, sustainable landscape plant availability, water-wise irrigation tools and techniques, selecting and finding the best plants, BMP’s for tree care and much more. There will also be an off site social hour following the event.
