Steven Zien will be a guest on Farmer Fred's garden radio talk shows from 9 to 10 a.m. on 1530 KFBK and from 10 a.m. to noon on 650 KSTE. The shows are also available live on line and as podcasts. After the radio show Steve will head over to the California State Fair where he will be found pounding hot metal at the Blacksmith shop. Stop by and try and stump Steve with your blacksmith and gardening questions, and see if he survives the forge without burning his green thumb.

Steven Zien will have an educational booth dealing with organic horticulture at Harvest Day from 8 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There will be plenty of free items to take home with you. This is one of Sacramento's best horticultural events.
